Helpful Tips
Almost all bird hunters are aware of all of the feathers that come out of birds when they are shot, especially turkey's! If you happen to bag a nice gobbler that you think you want to have mounted, it is a very helpful practice to try and gather up as many of the feathers that fell off your bird as possible. This will help tremendously when I mount your bird, as I can put most of these feathers back in place, which will give you a much nicer looking mount.
Hunters who take game animals for shoulder mounts, try to keep your shots behind the front shoulder. This will avoid a hole repair which may show in the finished mount!
If you want to keep your mounted game animals' eyes looking bright, put some Windex on a Q-Tip and clean them monthly.Use the dry end of the Q-Tip to wipe them off.
For dusty antlers, use Pledge Furniture polish and wipe off with a dry rag.
For dusty fish mounts, use the Pledge Furniture polish trick. Make sure to wipe WITH the scales and not against them!
